Privacy policy adherence by the employer and workers
Each and every company has a privacy policy. As the matter of fact the employer is committed to the privacy of its employee. In general, every person is more or less private. There are certain areas of life, which he/ she would never want to disclose to others. Every person follows a privacy policy in life. Through this he/ she is bound to secrecy in some extent or other. Considering the organization as human mind, with various departments working towards one goal, there are certain restrictions laid down by the company itself for not letting out certain information other employees or other companies. There are some decisions regarding sensitive matters such as tender amount, quotation amount, salaries of higher officials, personal information of every employee and management staff etc. such information is not supposed to be publicized. Thus it is kept under wraps. That does not mean the company is breaching the policy of transparency. But such information is not supposed to be shared with other higher officials apart from the concerned departments. These are basic rules of the company. Also these can be called a privacy policy of the company. This privacy just not deals with passing on the personal information of people who work in that organization to other parties, but the above mentioned points are also included into the privacy statement
Betriebsrat members educate the workers about the secrecy oath they are supposed to abide themselves to. They also inform workers about legal approaches involved in breaching this clause. Betriebsrat members help the management in creating the agreements including particular privacy clauses and others. Betriebsrat members explain the workers importance of swearing in companies’ privacy policy and not letting out the confidential information. They make the employees understand the value of secrecy till they hold the position in any organization. They explain how the information leaked by ignorance can cost company big time. Such fine nuances of the management are not seriously understood by the workers, unless they are highlighted and described to them. This duty is carried out by the Betriebsrat counselors. Making the workers understand value of privacy policy and get them to follow it strictly is another aspect carried out efficiently by these members. The organization should be treated as a family. Like every family has some close guarded secrets, every organization has its own secrets too. Every entity working for that company should be abiding to keep it a secret.
